My very first post... Yikes!

Hi everyone!
OK, so I am totally a newbie at this whole Blog-scrapping thing, and I must admit that I am a little bit nervous! I am used to scrapping, but putting it up on the web for actual PEOPLE to see... well, that's a whole different story! So, why am I doing this, you might ask (and rightfully so!) Well basically I just received the most fantastic birthday present from my Brother and Sister-in-law about a week or two ago... yup you guessed it... a CRICUT!!!! I was sooooo excited! I had become familiar with the cricut through my cousin Michelle and while at her house we started scrapping our latest trip together to Disney World.  As most of you out there must know by now... once you go Cricut, you don't go back! I was absolutely in love with this machine! But still, paying for a cricut wasn't in the "budget" at that time.  So I moved on and basically put scrapping aside for what wound up being about eight months! Then just days before my birthday my Brother and Sister-in-law handed me this wonderful box, inside of which was what I like to refer to as my "Dream Machine!" Anyway, short story long, I got a cricut, started googling all about it an came upon a fun and fantastic blog called Fantabulous Cricut wherein they held weekly challenges for people to participate in.
So here's how is works: They supply the "theme" for the week.  You are required to make some sort of paper craft inspired by the theme and you must use at least one cut on your project with the cricut.  Other than that the skies the limit! So here I am, setting up a scrapbooking blog, a blog that essentially serves the same function as my parents refrigerator always did; a place to hang up my artwork (no matter how bad it is) and make people smile! So - here goes nuthin'!

Now, admittedly, the theme for this week was "camping and the great outdoors" but for I don't have too many cartridges yet, so I had no real animals to cut out. More importantly though, I am not really an "outdoorsy" kinda girl.  This pretty much sums up my feelings about the outdoors and "wilderness."

So in case you were wondering, the cartridges that I used were George and Basic Shapes (for the sparkly flower) and Everyday Paper Dolls for the clouds, grass and raindrops.

OK. so that's my entry, hope you like it (although, it is about as far from "camping" and I could get and still feel like it was OK to post! (Come on, ya gotta have a sense of humor about these things :-).... Right????)
